SarahPAC: No mention of the GOP or Republican Party @nightline:
ABC’s Michael Falcone reports:
Here’s what you won’t hear in the new video Sarah Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC, released on Tuesday: Any mention of the GOP or the Republican Party.
What comes through loud and clear, however, is Palin’s message that the Tea Party is the “future of politics,” and Palin appears more willing than ever to position herself as the de facto leader of the movement.
“The tea party movement is not a top-down operation,” Palin says in the video, which splices together clips of her past speeches on the Tea Party circuit. “It’s a ground-up call to action that is forcing both parties to change the way that they’re doing business and that’s beautiful.”
The spot, which runs just under a minute-and-a-half represents a notable departure from the message of her three-month-old “Mama Grizzlies” video in which she refers to “a whole stampede of pink elephants crossing the line” in November.
